OverviewThe Orthopaedic Center is looking for a highly motivated and qualified Staff Accountant in Huntsville, AL. This opening is a full‑time position averaging 40 hours per week. The Staff Accountant will perform an array of duties, including assisting the Accounting Manager and CFO on a day‑to‑day basis. Other duties include supporting timely monthly financial close through working directly with the Accounting Manager and CFO to ensure timely and accurate reporting. Prepare and reconcile balance sheet accounts, bank accounts, and employee benefit‑related statements on a monthly basis. Assist in the preparation of financial schedules, analyses, and commentary related to operating expenditures. Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules in collaboration with external accounting partners. Review invoices for proper approval, coding and supporting documentation prior to payment processing. Assist in managing the accounts payable activities, including vendor payment processing, account reconciliations, and resolution of vendor inquiries. Prepare special financial reports as requested by management by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends. Perform additional accounting, finance, and administrative duties as assigned.
