Job DetailsJob Details:
We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Staff Accountant to join our team. This exciting opportunity is a hybrid role, offering the flexibility of working from home and the occasional need to be in the office. This position is within the construction industry and requires a strong understanding of financial reporting, financial accounting, financial analysis, accounts payable, and payroll processing. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in these areas and will play a vital role in the financial management of our company.
Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Staff Accountant, your primary responsibilities will include:
1. Preparing financial statements and reports, ensuring accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
2. Conducting thorough financial analysis and providing insights to support decision-making processes.
3. Managing accounts payable and receivable, ensuring prompt and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
4. Overseeing payroll processing, ensuring all employees are paid accurately and on time.
5. Assisting with budget preparation and financial planning processes.
6. Supporting the annual audit process by providing necessary information and preparing requested documentation.
7. Ensuring compliance with all internal policies and relevant regulations, and keeping abreast of changes in financial regulations and legislation.
8. Collaborating with other departments, providing financial guidance and support to assist in achieving company objectives.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you must have:
1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or CPA certification is a plus.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in financial reporting, financial accounting, financial analysis, accounts payable, and payroll processing.
3. Proven experience in the construction industry is highly preferred.
4. Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
5. Proficiency in using financial software and advanced MS Excel skills.
6. Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail.
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
9. The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
10. The ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
