Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and post journal entries for monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities.
- Perform balance sheet and bank account reconciliations.
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
- Prepare financial reports and supporting schedules for management review.
- Analyze accounting data and investigate discrepancies or variances.
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed.
- Assist with fixed asset accounting, depreciation schedules, and inventory accounting.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and internal controls.
- Support external audits by providing requested documentation and schedules.
- Maintain accurate accounting records and documentation.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Assist with special projects and ad hoc reporting requests.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 3+ years of accounting experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and data analysis functions.
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar platforms is preferred.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
