Job title: Staff Accountant
Location: On-site in Independence, OH
Schedule: Monday–Friday
Salary: $60,000 - $75,000


Position Summary


The Staff Accountant supports daily accounting operations, including financial reporting, inventory, and cost accounting. This role ensures accurate records and supports month-end close in a manufacturing environment.


Key Responsibilities of the Staff Accountant:



  • Prepare journal entries and complete month-end close tasks

  • Reconcile general ledger accounts and resolve variances

  • Support inventory accounting and cycle counts

  • Assist with standard costing and variance analysis

  • Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation

  • Support audits and ensure GAAP compliance


Qualifications of the Staff Accountant:



  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

  • 1–4 years of experience (manufacturing preferred)

  • ERP system experience

  • Strong Excel and analytical skills

  • Detail-oriented with good time management
