Description
Staff Accountant
A growing organization is seeking a talented Staff Accountant to join its accounting and finance team. This Staff Accountant position offers an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional to develop their career while contributing to the success of a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
As a Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end close activities, preparing reconciliations, and assisting with financial reporting. The ideal Staff Accountant is analytical, organized, and committed to accuracy and continuous improvement.
Staff Accountant Responsibilities
- Prepare and post journal entries
- Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
- Maintain and analyze general ledger accounts
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
- Prepare financial reports and supporting schedules
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures
- Collaborate with internal departments to improve accounting processes
Staff Accountant Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 1–3+ years of experience in a Staff Accountant or similar accounting role preferred
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Experience with accounting software and ERP systems preferred
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities
