Staff Accountant
Overview
Growing, multi-location company is seeking a Staff Accountant to join its corporate accounting team. This role offers exposure to a variety of accounting functions in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
- Handle invoicing, credits, and collections
- Assist with AIA billing and project-based invoicing
- Process and code vendor invoices and payments
- Maintain vendor and customer records
- Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
- Monitor aging reports and follow up on outstanding balances
- Ensure accurate application of customer payments
- Identify issues and recommend process improvements
- Provide coverage and support across accounting functions as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Experience with:
- Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable
- Billing and collections
- Reconciliations
- Exposure to AIA or project-based billing preferred
- Experience with ERP/accounting systems
- Strong Excel and computer skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and follow-through
