Staff Accountant

Location: La Porte, Indiana
Schedule: Fully Onsite
Salary: $55,000–$65,000 annually

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our accounting team in La Porte, Indiana. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional with up to three years of experience who is looking to gain hands-on exposure to the full accounting cycle and work closely with senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and support the full month-end close process, including journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and financial reporting.

• Oversee and support Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and proper controls.

  
  
• 
  

• Prepare accurate financial information and reports for review by the CFO and leadership team.

  
  
• 
  

• Assist with account analysis, reconciliations, reporting, process improvements, and other general accounting responsibilities.

  
  
• 
  

• Communicate effectively across departments and provide clear, accurate financial updates to leadership.

  
  
• 
  

Qualifications

• 
  

• Up to 3 years of accounting experience; recent graduates with relevant internship or accounting experience may be considered.

  
  
• 
  

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.

  
  
• 
  

• Strong understanding of general accounting principles and the month-end close process.

  
  
• 
  

• Experience with AP, AR, account reconciliations, and financial reporting preferred.

  
  
• 
  

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present accurate financial information to the CFO and other members of leadership.

  
  
• 
  

• Highly detail-oriented, organized, dependable, and able to work effectively in a fully onsite environment.

Compensation: $55,000–$65,000 annually, depending on experience.
