Key Responsibilities of the Staff Accountant

• 
  
• Handle full-cycle accounting responsibilities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close processes
• 
  
• Oversee the general ledger while ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data
• 
  
• Assist in preparing monthly financial statements and management reports
• 
  
• Perform reconciliations for bank accounts, credit cards, and balance sheet accounts
• 
  
• Support accounts payable and receivable operations as needed
• 
  
• Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis efforts
• 
  
• Prepare audit schedules and assist with external audit requirements
• 
  
• Identify opportunities to strengthen accounting processes and internal controls
• 
  
• Collaborate with operational leaders to deliver accurate financial reporting across multiple business units

• Support special projects, financial analysis, and other key accounting initiatives

Staff Accountant Qualifications

• 
  
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
• 
  
• At least one year of experience in a Staff Accountant or similar role
• 
  
• Solid knowledge of GAAP and fundamental accounting principles
• 
  
• Proficiency in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel
• 
  
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities
• 
  
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• 
  
• Maintains a high level of professionalism and discretion in a member-focused setting
• 
  
• Comfortable working within a unique hospitality and residential community environment
