Salary: $75,000 – $90,000

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our finance team in La Porte, Indiana. The ideal candidate will have strong financial reporting experience, a solid understanding of manufacturing accounting, and the ability to collaborate with operations to support accurate and timely financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• 
  
• Prepare monthly journal entries, account reconciliations, and assist with the month-end and year-end close process.
• 
  
• Prepare accurate financial reports and analyze variances to support management decision-making.
• 
  
• Support manufacturing operations by maintaining accurate inventory and cost data while ensuring financial integrity.
• 
  
• Assist with general ledger maintenance, fixed assets, internal controls, and audit preparation.
• 
  
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve accounting processes and reporting efficiency.
• 
  
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, and internal accounting procedures.
• 
  

Qualifications

• 
  
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
• 
  
• Minimum of 2 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
• 
  
• Strong understanding of financial reporting, general ledger accounting, and month-end close.
• 
  
• Experience with inventory accounting, cost accounting, or manufacturing operations is highly preferred.
• 
  
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• 
  
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience working with ERP systems is a plus.
