Staff Accountant Responsibilities

• 
  
• The Staff Accountant will prepare balance sheet reconciliations and resolve outstanding reconciling items.
• 
  
• Assist with year-end reporting, financial consolidations, and audit preparation.
• 
  
• Prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation.
• 
  
• The Staff Accountant will analyze financial data and maintain accurate general ledger records.
• 
  
• Utilize Microsoft Excel to create and maintain reports using PivotTables and VLOOKUPs.
• 
  
• The Staff Accountant will collaborate with financial analysts and the accounting team to support daily accounting operations.
• 
  

Preferred Qualifications for the Staff Accountant Role

• 
  
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field preferred.
• 
  
• Previous experience working in a nonprofit organization preferred.
• 
  
• Experience with account reconciliations, financial reporting, and audit support.
• 
  
• Proficiency with QuickBooks Desktop strongly preferred.
• 
  
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables and VLOOKUPs.
• 
  
• Team player with a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to learn quickly.
