They are now looking for a Staff Accountant.

Salary/Hourly Rate:
$85k - $110k

Position Overview:
A local CPA firm is seeking a Staff Accountant with public accounting experience to join the team. This role offers a strong blend of tax preparation, client interaction, and advisory exposure, giving the opportunity to build well-rounded experience while working closely with firm leadership and clients.

Responsibilities of the Staff Accountant:
  • Prepare individual, business, and non-profit tax returns.
  • Assist with tax projections and planning for small business clients.
  • Review QuickBooks files for accuracy and prepare/post adjustments.
  • Analyze financial statements including balance sheets and profit & loss statements.
  • Work directly with clients and provide small business consulting support.
  • Manage multiple engagements and meet deadlines.
  • Collaborate with team members while maintaining an independent workflow.
Required Experience/Skills for the Staff Accountant:
  • 2-3 years of recent public accounting experience.
  • Experience preparing individual and business tax returns.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Experience with tax software such as UltraTax preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and client-facing ability.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Staff Accountant:
  • CPA or Enrolled Agent (EA) candidate preferred.
  • Experience supporting small business clients.
  • Exposure to tax projections and financial analysis.
Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
