Diamond Game is seeking a detail-oriented and driven Staff Accountant, to join finance team. In this role you'll play a key part in supporting accurate financial reporting, maintaining strong internal controls and ensuring the integrity of our accounting operations. Position Summary

Utilizing hands-on accounting experience and an in-depth understanding of accounting principles and company practices, this position performs complex accounting activities and financial analyses. Assists the company on all operational matters as they relate to budget management, cost benefit analysis, forecasting needs, the preparation of supporting schedules for the company's external auditors, supporting internal control compliance and performing ad-hoc projects. This position ensures that the Company accounting procedures and reporting conform to the Companies' public reporting requirements and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist with the month-end and year-end close.
  • Prepare journal entries accurately and with proper supporting documentation.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports according to company policies and IFRS standards.
  • Analyzing complex financial reports and records.
  • Generate and send out invoices to customers and monitor customer accounts for delayed payments and follow up with customers via phone, email, or mail.
  • Review and clear sales orders for accuracy and timely customer invoicing.
  • Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies.
  • Prepare and analyze ageing reports.
  • Performingvarianceanalysesandpreparingaccount reconciliations.
  • Assisting with financial and tax audits.
  • Reviewing,creating,andassessingFixedAssets.
  • Documenting and monitoring internal controls in support of the audit team.
  • Coordinating more complex accounting projects and initiatives with other members of the accounting and finance team or with other departments.
  • ConsistentlydemonstratetheabilitytopracticeDiamondGame'scorevaluesandapply them.
  • Perform other tasks and duties as needed and/or requested by management.

Education & Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
  • Active, or in progress, CPA license is preferred.
  • 2+ years' previous accounting experience.
  • Ideally 2 years in public accounting with background at a Big 4 firm is desirable.
  • Experience in a publicly traded company.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced skills in Excel.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Navision preferred.
  • Operational knowledge within software development and manufacturing company preferred.
