Job Details:
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our Accounting + Finance team. This exciting opportunity will allow you to demonstrate your expertise in accounting and finance while working closely with our clients to provide strategic financial advice and solutions. You will play a crucial role in maintaining and controlling the general ledger accounts and business transactions of our clients, utilizing your knowledge and skills in entries, accruals, GL, bank reconciliations, journal entries, and ledger.

Responsibilities:
As a Staff Accountant, your key responsibilities will include:

1. Preparing and posting journal entries, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
2. Performing monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting activities including reconciliations of bank and credit card accounts, coordination and completion of annual audits, and reviewing financial reports/support as necessary.
3. Performing general ledger functions, including but not limited to, account analysis and reconciliations, accruals, and amortization.
4. Analyzing and reporting on financial status including income statement variances, communicating financial results to management, budget preparation, and analysis.
5. Improving systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions.
6. Assisting in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.
7. Providing financial consulting and strategic support to clients including financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Consulting Staff Accountant position should possess the following qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting and finance.
3. Proficiency in entries, accruals, GL, bank reconciliations, journal entries, and ledger.
4. Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
5. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills.
7. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
8. Strong oral and written communication skills.
9. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
10. Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
