    Staff AccountantLouisville, KY | Full-Time | On-SiteAbout the OpportunityOur client, a well-established public accounting firm in the Louisville area, is seeking a Staff Accountant to join its growing team. This position offers exposure to a broad range of accounting, tax, and advisory engagements, making it an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in public accounting.Unlike firms with a highly specialized focus, this role provides experience across tax preparation, financial statement work, client advisory services, year-end planning, estate planning, and trust-related engagements. The firm is known for providing strong professional development opportunities and long-term career growth.Ideal BackgroundThis role is a strong fit for an accountant with 2-5 years of public accounting experience who enjoys both tax and client-facing accounting work and is looking for broader exposure across advisory, financial reporting, planning, and consulting services.ResponsibilitiesPrepare individual, corporate, partnership, and other tax returnsAssist with financial statement preparation and related accounting engagementsPerform audit, review, and compilation procedures as assignedPrepare and organize workpapers in accordance with professional standardsAnalyze financial data and ensure accuracy of client financial recordsParticipate in client engagements and collaborate with firm leadership and team membersAssist clients with tax planning and advisory initiativesSupport year-end planning, estate planning, trust services, and other consulting projectsDraft reports, correspondence, and other client deliverablesManage multiple engagements while meeting established deadlinesStay current on accounting and tax regulations, including GAAP and industry best practicesQualificationsBachelor's degree in accounting or a related field2-5 years of public accounting experienceExperience preparing tax returns and working with tax engagementsExposure to financial statement preparation and/or audit engagements preferredStrong understanding of accounting principles and tax regulationsProficiency with accounting and tax softwareExcellent organizational and time management skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentStrong communication and client service skillsCPA certification is not required; CPA candidates are encouraged to applyWhy Consider This Opportunity?Diverse public accounting experience beyond traditional tax workExposure to advisory and consulting engagementsStrong mentorship and long-term career growth opportunitiesStable and collaborative team environmentAnnual bonus programCompetitive compensation based on experienceMedical, dental, vision +Pay Details: $60,000.00 to $75,000.00 per yearEqual Opportunity Employer / Veterans / DisabledMilitary connected talent encouraged to apply.Massachusetts Candidates OnlyIt is unlawful in Massachusetts to require or administer a lie detector test as a condition of employment or continued employment.
