This role is a strong fit for an accountant with 2-5 years of public accounting experience who enjoys both tax and client-facing accounting work and is looking for broader exposure across advisory, financial reporting, planning, and consulting services.
Responsibilities
Prepare individual, corporate, partnership, and other tax returns
Assist with financial statement preparation and related accounting engagements
Perform audit, review, and compilation procedures as assigned
Prepare and organize workpapers in accordance with professional standards
Analyze financial data and ensure accuracy of client financial records
Participate in client engagements and collaborate with firm leadership and team members
Assist clients with tax planning and advisory initiatives
Support year-end planning, estate planning, trust services, and other consulting projects
Draft reports, correspondence, and other client deliverables
Manage multiple engagements while meeting established deadlines
Stay current on accounting and tax regulations, including GAAP and industry best practices
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field
2-5 years of public accounting experience
Experience preparing tax returns and working with tax engagements
Exposure to financial statement preparation and/or audit engagements preferred
Strong understanding of accounting principles and tax regulations
Proficiency with accounting and tax software
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication and client service skills
CPA certification is not required; CPA candidates are encouraged to apply
