    Description

    What We NeedCORPAY is currently looking to hire a Staff Accountant within our Finance division. This position falls under our Stored Value line of business and is located in Louisville, KY. As a key member of the Accounting Department, the Staff Accountant will participate in various accounting department functions and month-end close. You will report directly to VP Accounting and regularly collaborate with teams or departments.

    How We WorkAs a Staff Accountant you will be expected to work in an office environment. CORPAY will set you up for success by providing:

    Role ResponsibilitiesThe responsibilities of the role will include:

    Prepare account reconciliation and account analysis.Prepare accurate journal entries.Participate in month-end close to ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close.Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the general ledger structure.Ensure large and complex transactions are accurately processed with adherence to outlined company financial policies and procedures.Assist with internal and external audit requests as needed.Prioritize day-to-day responsibilities to meet deadlines.As part of a small team additional responsibilities include, billing and helping other team members as needed.Ad hoc reporting, analysis and special projects as required. Compile data for internal and external audits as well as requests for data from other departments.

    Qualifications & Skills

    Bachelor's degree in accounting or related discipline required.0-5 years of relevant accounting or auditing experience with demonstrated proficiency in increasing levels of responsibility.Strong level of personal organization with excellent oral/written communication skills.Must be detail oriented, with the ability to handle multiple assignments promptly and efficiently.Ability to accurately research and follow through on complex problem-solving items, as well as initiate resolutions with minimal guidance.Demonstrated ability to work calmly in a fast-paced team environment and work effortlessly with all levels of the organization.Highly motivated and can function independently and within a team.Commitment to continuous operational improvement.To perform this job successfully, an individual must have a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office. Experience with Lawson, Microsoft Dynamics 365, or other large, automated accounting system is a plus. Industry knowledge is also helpful.
