ABOUT THE ROLE

A global investment management firm is seeking a Mandarin-speaking accounting professional to support accounting and finance operations across international entities, with an initial focus on China. This role offers broad exposure to month-end close, cash management, budgeting, intercompany accounting, and financial analysis while partnering with local accounting teams and global finance leadership.

The ideal candidate will have strong accounting fundamentals, advanced Excel skills, and the ability to communicate fluently in both Mandarin and English.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Review and ensure appropriate approvals for financial transactions
  • Participate in monthly and annual close processes for multiple global entities
  • Reconcile bank accounts and monitor cash activity and liquidity
  • Analyze intercompany balances and coordinate timely movement of funds between entities
  • Review account reconciliations and investigate variances
  • Prepare monthly expense forecasts and support annual budgeting activities
  • Partner with local accounting teams and provide guidance on accounting matters
  • Assist with financial analysis, reporting, and ad hoc projects
  • Support accounting operations related to international offices, primarily China
  • Collaborate with global finance teams to maintain accurate financial records and reporting

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
  • 2 4 years of accounting experience in public accounting or industry
  • Fluent in both Mandarin Chinese and English (written and verbal)
  • Advanced Excel skills required and will be assessed during the interview process
  • Experience with month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
  • Global cash flow experience preferred
  • Experience with Workday GL and HR systems is a plus
  • No CPA required
  • Flexibility to occasionally accommodate communication with teams based in China
