Key Responsibilities for the Staff Accountant:

• Manage client accounting engagements and serve as a primary contact for financial and accounting questions.
• Prepare journal entries, bank reconciliations, general ledger analyses, and month-end/year-end close activities.
• Generate and analyze financial statements, balance sheets, and income statements while communicating findings to leadership.
• Research IRS and state tax notices and assist with tax-related reporting requirements.
• Support audit engagements and internal control reviews.
• Prepare workpapers and ensure accuracy of financial records and account reconciliations.

Qualifications for the Staff Accountant:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related required
• 2+ years of accounting experience.
• QuickBooks and Excel skills required.
• Experience with general ledger accounting, reconciliations, financial reporting, and month-end close.
