McAllister Towing of NY is seeking highly qualified Financial Reporting Accountant. The duties and responsibilities are outlined below:
Financial Reporting Accountant

The Financial Reporting Accountant reports to the Director of Financial Reporting.
Supervises:
None.
Description of Duties:
The Financial Reporting Accountant is responsible for leading key aspects of the month-end and year-end close processes and preparing consolidated financial statements. This role ensures accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial reporting in accordance with applicable accounting standards and serve as primary point of contact during external audits.
As a Financial Reporting Accountant your duties are as follows:
Lead and coordinate critical components of the month-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
Prepare CES/SPBP consolidated financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and statements of cash flows, in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
Prepare and distribute periodic Flash Profit & Loss reports and other management reporting packages for internal management.
Serve as primary liaison for external auditors, coordinating audit requests and ensuring timely delivery of required documentation and support.
Review and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with accounting standards.
Maintain strong understanding of the Company's legal entity structure and consolidated reporting framework within Oracle 365.
Support special projects and other initiatives within the finance function as assigned. General accounting responsibilities include:
Minimum Requirements:
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA or CPA track preferred).
CPA is a plus.
4+ years of progressive accounting experience, including financial reporting and consolidations.
Strong knowledge of applicable accounting standards (GAAP).
Experience preparing consolidated financial reports.
Advanced proficiency in Oracle 365 and management reporting tools.
Must be able to work independently to ensure timely and accurate completion of projects.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and communicate insights clearly
Experience coordinating external audits.
High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
Physical Requirements:
The ability to operate a computer terminal.
The ability to operate telephones and standard office equipment.
Salary: Annual $80K - $95K
