Job Description
JSG is hiring a Staff Accountant in Orange, CA! This role is 100% onsite.
Pay rate: $25-$33
The Staff Accountant is responsible for supporting daily accounting operations, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, and month-end close.
- Manage accounts receivable, including invoicing, Daily Shipment Log, collections, payment processing, deposits, and downloading reports.
- Maintain accurate and organized AR files and records.
- Enter all vendor bills and process approved material, labor, and other invoices for payment.
- Review invoices for proper documentation and approval prior to payment.
- Prepare and distribute checks, obtain required signatures, and match bills to checks.
- Monitor vendor accounts and regularly request and review vendor statements to ensure accounts are current.
- Maintain accurate and organized AP files and records.
- Assist with general ledger maintenance, account reconciliations, and month-end closing procedures.
- Perform other accounting duties and projects as assigned.
- Previous accounts payable and accounts receivable experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and accuracy.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Strong communication and time-management skills.
