Staff Accountant

We are interviewing for a Staff Accountant to join a great Nonprofit in the Sacramento area. This position supports the organization’s accounting, budgeting, and administrative efforts. The ideal candidate possesses 3+ years of solid accounting experience with the ability to meet deadlines. Company offers a hybrid schedule after training and excellent benefits. Core duties and responsibilities include:

• Prepares monthly and weekly bank reconciliation reports.
• Grant accounting
• Inputs journal entries.
• Performs general ledger account analyses.
• Supports Financial Statement prep and review
• Prepares income statement and balance sheet account reconciliations.
• Reviews A/R billing, AP trial balance, and cash receipts.

Required skills and qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field
• Excellent Excel skills.
• Nonprofit and/or grant accounting experience a plus
• 3+ years of accounting experience
• Exposure to working with financial statements

Compensation:

The annual salary range for this position is between $70K and $85K, depending on experience.
