Position: Staff Accountant
Pay Range: $30 to $35 Per Hour
Reporting To: Controller
Work Type: On-site
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Staff Accountant is responsible for performing day-to-day accounting activities, maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reconciliations, and supporting the monthly close while ensuring compliance with GAAP.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
1-3 years of accounting experience.
Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
Advanced Excel skills.
NetSuite or comparable ERP preferred.
Healthcare experience preferred.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

Prepare recurring and non-recurring journal entries.
Post bank and credit card activity on a daily/weekly basis
Complete bank, cash, credit-card, and balance-sheet transactions and assist with reconciliations
Maintain prepaid, accrual, and fixed asset schedules.
Support month-end close for assigned entities.
Assist with revenue and accounts payable reconciliations.
Research discrepancies and resolve reconciling items.
Serve as a backup and support to the AP group as needed.
Maintain organized workpapers and documentation.
Partner with operations to resolve accounting issues.
Support process improvements and special projects.
Other duties as assigned
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Stand, sit, talk, hear, reach, stoop, kneel and use of hands and fingers to operate computer, telephone, and keyboard on a frequent basis (up to 75% of the time).
