Staff Accountant

Century Group is partnering with a client who is seeking a Staff Accountant to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary $70,000 to $80,000 per year.

Job Responsibilities:

• Create necessary data and reports to support the preparation of financial statement such as accounts payable aging reports, accruals and expense analysis.
• Schedule and prepare payments to vendors, including checks, ACH, electronic transfers or other payment methods, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in accordance with payment terms.
• Manage vendor statement to reconcile any discrepancies between the vendor's records and the company accounts payable ledger, resolve any outstanding issues or discrepancies.
• Receive and review invoices from vendors, to verify the accuracy of information such as purchase orders, quantities, prices, discounts.
• Calculate, prepare, and file sales tax returns in accordance with state and local regulations.

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred
• 3+ years' experience in Accounting
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel) and accounting software's (NetSuite) preferred

• Working knowledge of GAAP
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
