The role requires a strong knowledge of accounting principles and the ability to view both detailed transactions and overall financial strategy.The position will include analyzing accruals, capitalized software, and share‑based compensation to ensure proper journal entries, take an active role in monthly close, prepare monthly financial statements, participate in audits, and perform financial analyses and other ad‑hoc projects.The ideal candidate will blend technical accounting, general ledger accounting, financial analysis, and strong communication skills to work effectively with functional departments and collaborate with staff at all levels.Key Responsibilities Active involvement in day‑to‑day operational accounting activitiesAssist in the preparation of financial reports and analysis for internal and external usePrepare monthly and quarterly reconciliationsInterpret financial transactions, resolve accounting discrepancies, and identify significant fluctuationsDevelop and implement processes focused on automation, scalability, and efficiency to streamline accounting methods and increase productivityServe as a finance partner to HR, collaborating on payroll changes, benefits administration, PTO tracking, headcount planning, new hire setup, terminations, benefits reconciliation, and compensation reportingReconcile payroll liabilities, including taxes, benefits, garnishments, and 401(k) contributionsTake an active role in month, quarter, and year‑end closing processesCollaborate with external auditors and tax professionalsEnsure compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal controlsAssist with the preparation of the annual budget and forecastWork with the finance leader on federal, state, and local tax filings and registrations in partnership with external tax advisors, tracking deadlines and filing statusAssist with equity compensation accounting, including stock options and RSUsSurface issues, risks, and discrepancies proactivelyPerform special projects and studies on accounting and control matters as requestedQualifications Experience You'll Need (Required) Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance/business administration required2+ years of experience in financial reporting and/or general accountingStrong knowledge of U.S. GAAPExcellent analytical ability, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and in teamsGood oral and written communication skills requiredIntermediary Excel skillsExcellent time management, planning, and organizational skillsAbility to work in a remote environmentAbility to prioritize multiple tasks and anticipate and solve problemsAbility to analyze problems and evaluate multiple alternate solutions to make decisions quicklyAbility to develop practices, workflows, and policiesPreferred Qualifications CPA, or working towards CPA licenseQuickBooks experiencePrior experience in the PBM or healthcare industryAdditional Information Expected Salary $58K-$76K + Bonus eligibleHealth benefits401K with employer matchPaid Parental LeaveStock optionsPTOOpportunity to work in a fast‑moving, collaborative, and innovative companyVIVIO Health is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
