What you'll do:As a key member of the Supply Chain Accounting team in Accounting Operations, you will work in a fast-paced environment to record and analyze transactions related to inventory; leased assets and related intercompany transactions, as well as work to simplify accounting processes.
**This is a hybrid, site-based role that offers the perfect blend of office collaboration and remote flexibility. Employees will work from our Carlsbad office at least 3 days (60%) per week within a standard five-day workweek, with the remaining days worked remotely.
The day-to-day:- Preparation of journal entries related to inventory; leased assets and related intercompany transactions and eliminations, as part of the month end close process
- Monthly account analysis and review of related source documents
- Working closely with business to investigate and resolve issues related to inventory and leased assets
- Running transaction processes and reports in accounting system, as part of month end close process; including order settlements; preparation of other monthly reporting
- Preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations and other supporting working papers
- Provisions of assistance in completion of year-end audit, statutory account audits, tax filings and other ad hoc requests
- Participation in special projects regarding inventory and leased assets, including process improvement
- Associate's degree or higher in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting/Finance, with progress towards a professional accounting designation
- 3+ years of experience in an accounting role
- Basic understanding of General Accounting Principles
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (intermediate level of knowledge)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communications skills, both written and verbal is required
- Strong organizational skills
- US Citizenship is required
- Experience with SAP and Blackline would be an asset
- CPA Certified
