Position SummaryWe are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our accounting team. This position will support general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, bank reconciliations, intercompany accounting, fixed asset management, sales tax reporting, audit preparation, and financial analysis activities for a growing multi-entity organization.The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, and eager to grow professionally in a fast-paced accounting environment.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesGeneral Ledger & ReconciliationsPrepare and reconcile intercompany general ledger accountsReconcile balance sheet accounts monthlyPerform monthly bank reconciliationsAssist with month-end and year-end close processesResearch and resolve accounting discrepancies and reconciling itemsFixed Assets & Production AccountingMaintain fixed asset schedules and related accounting recordsAssist with capitalization and depreciation activitiesSupport accounting activities related to production and operational accountsSales Tax & CompliancePrepare and review sales and use tax filingsMaintain supporting documentation for tax reportingAssist with compliance reporting and regulatory requirementsAudit & Financial SupportCoordinate audit requests and prepare supporting schedules for external CPA firms and regulatory agenciesAssist with annual financial audits and reviewsSupport preparation of financial reports and management analysisAnalysis & ReportingPerform statistical and financial data analysisPrepare reports using Excel, PowerBI, and accounting softwareAssist with identifying trends, variances, and process improvementsQualificationsRequiredBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance2-5 years of accounting experienceStrong understanding of general ledger accounting and reconciliationsExperience with Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and formulasStrong organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlinesExperience in the construction industryPreferredExperience with multi-entity accounting environmentsFixed asset accounting experienceSales tax filing experienceERP/accounting software experienceExperience supporting external auditsSkills & CompetenciesStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work independently and collaborativelyHigh level of accuracy and professionalismContinuous improvement mindset#J-18808-Ljbffr
