    Overview: 

     

    As a Staff Accountant, you will be part of the finance team  - responsible for corporate accounting matters, month-end close, reconciliations, and journal entries. This individual is an integral part of the corporate team, maintaining clear and consistent daily accounting operations.   

     

    Duties/Responsibilities: 

    • Maintain detailed financial records for a portfolio of properties, including income, expenses, assets, and liabilities 

    • Prepare journal entries and perform bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations 

    • Assist in developing annual budgets and monitor performance against budgeted targets 

    • Collaborate with on-site personnel and other team members to provide support and resolve any financial issues or discrepancies 

    • Ensure compliance with tax laws, regulations, and reporting requirements 

    • Conduct financial analysis on property performance, cashflow, and capital expenditures  

    • Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas of improvement 

    • Maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with accounting standards and policies 

    • Ability to develop innovative solutions and process improvements based upon technical accounting knowledge, analytical skills, and understanding of financial systems 

    • Assists with annual audits 

    • Supports ad-hoc projects 

     

     

     

     

    Required Skills/Abilities: 

    • B.S. in Accounting/Finance required 

    • Excellent computer knowledge with proficiency in Microsoft Office and commercial accounting software 

    • Self-motivated, highly organized, and detailed oriented 

    • Ability to work in a dynamic setting and adapt to change 

    • A deep commitment to honest, ethical conduct in all dealings and an ability to adhere to the company’s core values 

    • Excellent oral and written communication skills

    Target Pay Range:

    $59,500.00 - $79,500.00

    Actual starting pay will vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, experience, skills, specialty, and education.
