Overview:
As a Staff Accountant, you will be part of the finance team - responsible for corporate accounting matters, month-end close, reconciliations, and journal entries. This individual is an integral part of the corporate team, maintaining clear and consistent daily accounting operations.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Maintain detailed financial records for a portfolio of properties, including income, expenses, assets, and liabilities
Prepare journal entries and perform bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations
Assist in developing annual budgets and monitor performance against budgeted targets
Collaborate with on-site personnel and other team members to provide support and resolve any financial issues or discrepancies
Ensure compliance with tax laws, regulations, and reporting requirements
Conduct financial analysis on property performance, cashflow, and capital expenditures
Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas of improvement
Maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with accounting standards and policies
Ability to develop innovative solutions and process improvements based upon technical accounting knowledge, analytical skills, and understanding of financial systems
Assists with annual audits
Supports ad-hoc projects
Required Skills/Abilities:
B.S. in Accounting/Finance required
Excellent computer knowledge with proficiency in Microsoft Office and commercial accounting software
Self-motivated, highly organized, and detailed oriented
Ability to work in a dynamic setting and adapt to change
A deep commitment to honest, ethical conduct in all dealings and an ability to adhere to the company’s core values
Excellent oral and written communication skills

Target Pay Range:
$59,500.00 - $79,500.00Actual starting pay will vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, experience, skills, specialty, and education.
