STAFF ACCOUNTANT
 
Role Summary
 
This position will record, measure, and communicate financial data to properly reflect accounts receivable, manufacturing location results, monthly entries and reconciliations for the Company. Optimize productivity and continuously improve procedures and processes supporting the accounting department.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Transactional Duties:
    • Maintain A/R aging report, manage credit reviews of new customers, and monitor credit holds.
    • Cross-trained in invoicing and cash application procedures.
    • Perform inventory counts at Pilot manufacturing facilities and related contract manufacturing facilities when needed.
  • Monthly Duties:
    • Complete monthly A/R, A/P, Unvouchered A/P and Inventory reconciliations as part of month end for delegated locations.
    • Execute placing in service fixed assets and related fixed asset accounting entries for delegated locations.
    • Execute monthly entries for payroll and cash reconciliation.
    • Routine communication and main point of contact in accounting with delegated locations on related financial performance, purchase order receipting, and other accounting related items.
    • Execute other journal entries and account reconciliations as directed by Controller.
  • Quarterly & Project Duties
    • Analyze and maintain manufacturing locations balance sheet reconciliations and other audit preparation needs.
    • Assist Controller with other projects as needed, including yearly budgeting.
  • Accountable for following and utilizing Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) on all accounting procedures.
Required Competencies
  • Minimum of bachelor’s degree in accounting and 1 to 3 years’ accounting experience
  • Proven computer skills including accounting software, spreadsheets, and word processing
  • Proven verbal and written communications skills
  • Confirmed team player with good superior and peer relationship skills
  • Successful record of effective customer and vendor relations skills.
  • Self-motivated, with a proactive attitude towards work and demonstrated belief in continuous improvement
