Staff Accountant


Location: Greater Hartford Area (Fully Onsite)
Compensation: $70,000–$75,000


About the Company


Our client is a mission-driven organization dedicated to supporting and strengthening individual, family, and community life through a wide range of social services. They are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join their team and contribute to their important work.


Key Responsibilities



  • Process and apply cash receipts accurately

  • Manage accounts payable activities and process invoices through Bill.com

  • Maintain and reconcile prepaid accounts

  • Handle payroll accruals and related accounting functions

  • Assist with year-end close activities and external audit preparation

  • Support day-to-day accounting operations and ensure financial accuracy


Requirements



  • Strong full-cycle, end-to-end accounting experience

  • Solid understanding of debits and credits

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

  • Team-oriented mindset with strong collaboration skills
