Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Staff Accountant to join our team. This full-time, on-site role will support the daily financial operations of our fast-paced food and beverage business. The ideal candidate has strong accounting experience, thrives in a collaborative environment, and is comfortable adapting to evolving processes.

What You'll Do:

Financial Operations

  • Support daily accounting and financial transactions
  • Assist with weekly and monthly billing cycles
  • Participate in collections efforts using client-specific platforms

Billing & Accounts Receivable

  • Prepare and issue weekly commissary invoices for core business operations
  • Reconcile invoicing and payments with the Events team weekly
  • Track receivables and support collection processes

Month-End Close

  • Post journal entries and reconcile checkbooks to the general ledger
  • Review unit-level financial statements and work with regional teams to resolve discrepancies

Banking & Reconciliations

  • Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations and related postings
  • Prepare and make deposits; ensure accurate posting to the general ledger

Financial Reporting & Analysis

  • Conduct monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Collaborate with operations teams on budgeting and forecasting
  • Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as needed

Support Functions

  • Assist with accounts payable as required
  • Provide general support to the finance and operations teams
  • Contribute to improving and streamlining accounting processes and procedures


Requirements

What We Need From You:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in the food service or hospitality industry
  • Proficient in accounting softwares, Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint, and numerous other online based apps
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and best practices
  • Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proactive, adaptable, and eager to contribute to process improvement
