Position Summary:

If so, this may be the right opportunity for you! We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Staff Accountant to join our team. This position will have Accounts Payable and Payroll responsibilities and some general ledger tasks may also be assigned. This individual will work closely with the Senior Accountant to ensure payable records are timely and accurate. The ideal candidate will be a quick learner, highly motivated, and able to work with minimum supervision. We are seeking a candidate who wants to grow with our company.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Enter vendor invoices, credit card charges, and automated payments
  • Process payroll for employees
  • Maintain subcontractor records (including collecting and reviewing certificates of insurance (COI), subcontractor agreements and W-9 forms)
  • Assist with account reconciliations
  • Help develop, update, and document accounting procedures as needed
  • Collaborate with our Senior Accountant to provide ad hoc reporting and analysis as needed
  • Follow standard operating procedures and maintain compliance with internal controls
  • Responsible for quickly becoming QuickBooks Enterprise proficient
  • Assist with occasional office administrative tasks as needed
  • Other duties and tasks as assigned by your manager

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
  • QuickBooks Desktop and/or Enterprise experience preferred
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Solid organizational skills; able to multi-task and complete requests in a timely and professional manner
  • Resourceful; can devise creative solutions to problems
  • Read and write English
