Job Title: Staff Accountant

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Staff Accountant to support day‑to‑day accounting operations within a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. This role will assist with general ledger activities, month‑end close, and cost accounting functions while ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and has hands‑on experience in a manufacturing setting.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with month‑end and year‑end close processes, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting
Support cost accounting activities, including inventory valuation, standard costing, cost variance analysis, and bill of materials review
Reconcile inventory, WIP, and COGS accounts and assist with periodic physical inventory counts
Prepare and analyze financial data to support manufacturing operations and management decision‑making
Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed
Maintain accurate general ledger records in accordance with GAAP
Support fixed asset tracking, depreciation, and capital expenditure reporting
Assist with audits by preparing schedules and supporting documentation
Collaborate cross‑functionally with operations, supply chain, and production teams
Identify opportunities for process improvement and increased efficiencies

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required)
2-4 years of accounting experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment
Working knowledge of cost accounting principles and inventory accounting
Strong understanding of GAAP
Experience with ERP systems and accounting software (manufacturing ERP a plus)
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Strong analytical, organizational, and time‑management skills
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with standard costing and variance analysis
Exposure to inventory controls and production reporting
Prior ERP implementation or system migration experience
