Job Description
Johnson Service Group is looking for a staff analyst for our client in San Jose. This person will support the Grants, Claims & Compliance Unit's Pre-Award Team by researching grant opportunities and assisting with grant application preparation to help secure funding for District projects.
Responsibilities:
- Research grant opportunities.
- Complete grant application forms.
- Write, edit, and proofread documents.
- Communicate with project teams.
- Coordinate with the GIS and Graphics Team.
- Update the Unit Manual.
- Maintain digital records and filing systems.
- Manage correspondence via Microsoft Teams and email.
Required Qualifications
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Basic Microsoft Office proficiency.
- Ability to follow instructions and maintain attention to detail.
- Professional demeanor.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience completing grant forms, including SF Family.
- Familiarity with technical documents and government policies.
- Experience with Excel and budget tracking.
Education & Experience
- Associate's degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration or a related field.
- Three (3) years of experience performing administrative support and technical duties.
- Directly related experience may substitute for the education requirement at the rate of 1.5 years of experience for one year of education, up to a maximum of two years.
License
- Valid California Driver's License required.
