HERE IS WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • They will maintain the front desk (answer phones, greeting guest).

  • The Administrative Assistant will serve as the primary contact for external guests/visitors.

  • Serve as point of contact for faculty copy requests.

  • Maintain Office supply cabinets (basic supplies, toner). Update departmental contact list, receive deliveries/packages, ensure mail distribution.

  • Process travel authorizations/expense statements.

  • Order and receive supplies in Pantherrnart.

  • Maintain departmental syllabus files (to help keep compliance), update departmental display boards, coordinate/oversee office requests (recycling pick up, office maintenance needs, etc) with various GSU departments.

  • Assisting the Business Manager, Administrative Coordinator and Department Scheduler with special tasks.

  • Serve as the contact for department conference room and classroom.

  • Oversee small department events (ie. faculty recruitment, hotel reservation, departmental retreats), process exam grading utilizing the scantron reader.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree; or a high school diploma or GED and four years administrative experience; or a combination of education and experience. Various computer skills may be required.
