The Staff Assistant for CEBS is a part-time (19-hours/week), 10-month, in-person, nonexempt employee who provides administrative support to the Associate Dean (or Interim Associate Dean when applicable), Graduate Admissions Counselor, and Program Advisor in Behavioral Sciences. The Staff Assistant will perform vital functions that support students in the Behavioral Sciences in CEBS

REQUIREMENTS/MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience

Minimum one year experience in an administrative assistant or customer service role.

Education

High school diploma or the equivalent. Associate degree or bachelor's degree preferred.

  • Support the work of the Graduate Admissions Counselor, Program Advisor, and Associate Dean.
  • Follow-up on incomplete program applications as directed by the Graduate Admissions Counselor.
  • Respond to applicant and student emails received in the general email inbox(es).
  • Prepare completed applications for faculty review.
  • Assist with on-campus visits and interview days, including set-up for events and greeting of prospective students.
  • Process transcripts for incoming students.
  • Ensure completion of the Criminal History Background Check requirement by incoming students in clinical programs.
  • Support the check-in, check-out, and protocol ordering process related to clinical testing kits.
  • Assist the Program Advisor with student paperwork needed to confer degrees (e.g., dissertation paperwork, thesis paperwork, and internship completion certificates for the PsyD program).
  • Follow the guidance and direction of the Associate Dean/Interim Associate Dean.
  • Demonstrate respectful, ethical, responsible behavior.
  • Abide by the University's policies, procedures, and rules.
  • Perform employee responsibilities as detailed in employee handbooks and policies.
  • Demonstrate regular and predictable attendance and punctuality following a schedule approved by the Associate Dean/Interim Associate Dean.
  • Other duties, including special projects, as required or assigned by the Associate Dean/Interim Associate Dean.
