The Staff Attorney will play a meaningful role in representing clients in high-stakes matters in federal district court and administrative proceedings involving:
Federal-sector EEO complaints (discrimination, retaliation, reasonable accommodation, hostile work environment, constructive discharge)
MSPB appeals and mixed cases
Discovery, motions practice, and evidentiary development
Administrative hearings, arbitrations, and federal litigation support
Client counseling and strategic case planning
This is not a document-review position. The Staff Attorney will be actively engaged in litigation strategy, legal analysis, and advocacy, often in matters that require patience, persistence, and creativity in the face of institutional resistance.
We are seeking an attorney who:
Has excellent legal research, writing, and oral communication skills
Is patient, detail-oriented, and thoughtful, particularly when working with clients experiencing stress or trauma
Understands that meaningful advocacy often requires long-term commitment and meticulous record-building
Is motivated by a genuine desire to advance justice, not just process cases
Is comfortable working independently while collaborating closely with firm leadership
Can navigate administrative and judicial forums with professionalism and confidence
Prior experience in federal employment law, civil rights law, labor law, or administrative litigation is strongly preferred, but we will consider candidates with transferable litigation experience and a demonstrated commitment to this work.
