The role involves participating in pavement testing and infrastructure data collection nationwide, with about 50% travel, especially in spring/summer. Responsibilities include operating and maintaining data collection equipment, driving trucks or trailers, and analyzing data using software tools.
Requirements include a high school diploma, valid driver’s license, ability to pass a DOT physical, and flexibility to work weekends/nights and travel. Preferred skills include mechanical and GIS aptitude; travel outside the U.S. is a plus. The pay range is $25-30/hr, with benefits and overtime.
