Staff Development Coordinator/Infection Preventionist (RN)

The Staff Development Coordinator/ Infection Preventionist Nurse will be responsible for Quality Assurance/Improvement activities and education that may include, but may not be limited to, those relating to resident/patient care practices, facility quality indicators, incidents, grievances, deficiencies cited by the agency, and plans of action to correct and respond quickly to identified quality concerns. As well as, developing, implementing, and maintaining infection prevention protocols while planning and delivering educational programs to ensure staff competencies meet regulatory requirements and residents’ needs.

• Special Activities/Attributes
• Develops, implements, and oversees infection prevention and control programs.
• Conducts facility assessments to identify educational needs and prioritize training topics.
• Ensures educational content aligns with current standards of practice and facility policies.

Staff Development Nurse Education Experience:

• Registered Nurse (RN) with CPR.
• Long term care experience required and prefer working knowledge of Point Click Care.
• Experience as a Nurse Manager in some capacity preferred.
• Experience and/or training and Staff
• Development preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of infection prevention practices, nursing standards, and regulatory requirements.
• A minimum of two years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in long-term care.
