COMPANY is seeking a Staff Electrical Engineer - Power System Protection to join its Protective Relay Settings team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer with a strong background in protective relay settings, power system analysis, and Protection & Control (P&C) design.
What We're Looking For
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
• 5-10 years of transmission industry experience
• Experience with Protection & Control design, including one-lines, three-lines, schematics, and wiring diagrams
• 5+ years developing protective relay settings for line, transformer, breaker, and bus protection
• Experience with ASPEN, CAPE, CYME, ETAP, SKM, or similar modeling software
• Strong understanding of transmission, distribution, and renewable collector substation protection schemes
• Experience using Mathcad and Excel for protection calculations
• Knowledge of DNP, SEL, MMS, Modbus, and related communication protocols
• Knowledge of IEC 61850 including GOOSE, MMS, and SV
• Familiarity with NERC-PRC standards and industry best practices
• Strong communication and client-facing skills
• Experience leading small projects, supporting proposals, and performing QA/QC reviews
• PE License preferred
