PAY RATE: $170,000-210,000/year

Summary: 

• Leads the full PCB design cycle including requirements definition, schematic design, component selection, layout oversight, bring-up, functional verification, and performance testing.

• Designs, develops, integrates, and debugs avionics systems and subsystems for aircraft and launcher electrical systems.

• Develops system interconnect diagrams and defines wire harnesses connecting systems throughout the air vehicle.

• Supports design updates driven by product improvements, obsolescence management, and evolving requirements.

• Conducts peer-level and cross-disciplinary design reviews for electronics systems.

• Applies strong understanding of analog, mixed-signal, digital, and RF circuit components.

• Uses common electronic test equipment and CAD tools such as Altium for circuit design and validation.

• Applies experience with microcontrollers, common serial interfaces, high-speed communications, and firmware and software integration.

• Applies knowledge of MIL-Spec hardware and harnessing for aerospace systems.

• Supports advanced UAS and ISR platform development programs.

Requirements:

• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.

• Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).

• Minimum of 10 years of relevant industry experience in electronics design and development.

• Demonstrated capability in complex circuit board design, bring-up, signal and power integrity analysis, and validation.

• Proven experience designing electronics from concept through functional prototype, including hardware selection, documentation, system-level integration, and troubleshooting.

• Strong understanding of analog, mixed-signal, digital, and RF circuit components.

• Detailed working knowledge of common electronic test equipment and CAD tools such as Altium.

• Excellent problem-solving and planning skills.

• Preferred: Experience designing electronics for robotic or aircraft systems.

• Preferred: Hands-on experience with microcontrollers, serial interfaces, high-speed communications, and firmware or software integration.

• Preferred: Familiarity with MIL-Spec hardware and harnessing, and experience in UAS or UAV systems.
