Job Description
As the Staff Engineer - Data Platform, you will be driving technical design for enterprise data management platform. You will be supporting platform adoption and scale actions with engineering teams across platform team and broader Digital, Analytics and Technology organization. By bringing deep technical expertise and knowledge of data platform use, you will be able to bring cohesive and impactful platform outcomes to life.
This role is hybrid, which means you will work some days at our corporate office in Richfield, Minnesota, and some days virtually from home or another non-Best Buy location. The specific work arrangements vary by role and team. The recruiter or hiring manager will provide more details during the hiring process.

- Understanding technical gaps and platform opportunities clearly
- Use expertise and industry knowledge to influence technical vision
- Drive complex problem solving with cross-functional teams at different maturity levels
- Guide engineers with concrete methods and approaches to build quality at scale
- Balance technology and platform product goals to achieve a cohesive direction and execution
