Role Summary

The Staff Engineer will serve as a technical leader and hands-on builder, owning critical features across the stack, setting engineering standards, and driving AI-powered solutions in insurance. This role combines coding, leadership, and system design with high autonomy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Scope, design, and ship full-lifecycle features that improve broker workflows

  • Act as tech lead for high-impact initiatives across teams

  • Build AI-driven solutions within the TypeScript (React + Node) stack

  • Develop APIs, integrations, and scalable system designs

  • Champion engineering best practices (testing, CI/CD, observability)

  • Mentor engineers and shape technical culture

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Design, and Data teams

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • 5+ years experience in modern web stack (React, Node, TypeScript)

  • Proven technical leadership on large or complex projects

  • Startup (Series D+) or big tech experience preferred
