Staff Electrical Engineer – High Voltage Substation Design Area: Multiple Markets (Atlanta / Ann Arbor / Chattanooga / Orlando / Raleigh / Portland / Boston / Irvine / Walnut Creek) — Hybrid 3 Days/Week Shift: 1st Shift
Job Summary:
Serve as single-discipline technical lead on electrical substation projects up to 765kV
Develop protection and control deliverables: protective relays, panel arrangements, one-line/three-line diagrams, AC/DC schematics, and relay panel wiring
Develop physical design deliverables: yard layout plans, grounding, lightning protection, control building arrangements, and auxiliary AC/DC power systems
Perform and oversee quality review of electrical substation design packages
Prepare electrical equipment specifications and Bills of Materials (BOM)
Manage design budgets and schedules
Coordinate with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and project stakeholders
Present proposals, designs, and project updates
Mentor junior team members and support business development/pursuit activities
