The Civil Engineering Technician is responsible for assisting in the planning, design, and development of site infrastructure including grading, drainage, roads, utilities, and erosion control.Job Description Functions in a project engineering technician capacitySupports engineering and design teams by developing and modifying technical deliverablesApplies foundational engineering principles and established design practices to create moderately complex design concepts and solutionsUtilizes CAD, BIM, and 3D modeling tools to create, modify, and maintain technical documentation, drawings, and project deliverablesProvides technical guidance and may direct other engineering professionals and technicians to ensure quality and consistencyApplies knowledge of standards, systems, document control, departmental guides, applicable codes, and policies and proceduresReviews project requirements and determines correct format and contents of deliverablesApplies quality program standards and supports continuous improvement and change management effortsReviews design inputs to ensure consistency and compliance with applicable codes and standardsApplies engineering principles and design practices in developing moderately complex deliverables and making technical decisionsHandles technical assignments within area of expertise and provides guidance to othersPerforms design calculations, material quantities, estimates, and recordsMay review deliverables of others and define work assignments and schedulesCoordinates with other design teams to exchange project informationSupports field activities when required and focuses on internal and external client needsProactively seeks and shares knowledge of latest technologies and processesSkills Required Minimum of 5 years related work experienceMust have Civil 3D grading experienceKnowledge of CAD, BIM, and 3D modeling tools (Autodesk Civil 3D, Bentley MicroStation)Understanding of civil engineering principles and site development designFamiliarity with grading, drainage, erosion control, roadways, fencing, and underground utilitiesAbility to interpret technical drawings, codes, and engineering standardsStrong attention to detail and accuracy in technical deliverablesAbility to provide technical guidance and collaborate with multidisciplinary teamsAbility to perform design calculations, estimates, and material takeoffsKnowledge of document control systems and engineering proceduresEducation/Training/Certifications Diploma or Certificate requiredAssociate's or Bachelor's Degree in Drafting or Engineering Design‑Related Technology preferredAdditional Requirements Ability to complete pre‑employment onboarding requirements, which may include criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.GAS Energy Staffing LLC is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
