Residence Life is encouraging applications for the Staff Experience Coordinator position! Residence Life at the University of Colorado Boulder focuses on student success through implementing innovative programs and services that promote co-curricular engagement. This position is focused on the assembling and supporting of all Student Staff, Student Leaders, and Professional Staff of Residence Life. Through collaboration with the other Staff Experience Coordinators, the Senior Assistant Director of Staff Experience, and other staff, this role will assist in implementing the department's vision of the employee experience. This includes the facilitation of recruitment, selection, onboarding, development, and staff evaluations.

Process Management
- Assist in the implementation of processes to recruit, hire, train, and evaluate highly talented professional staff at all position levels of Residence Life under the direction of the Senior Assistant Director of Staff Experience.
- Assist in the implementation of processes to recruit, hire, train, supervise, and evaluate highly talented Student Staff and Student Leaders in Residence Life under the direction of the Senior Assistant Director of Staff Experience.
- Serve as a Residence Life employment liaison with Student Affairs Human Resources to ensure correct interpretation and enforcement of departmental compliance with university policies and procedures.
- Directly supervise up to two student staff members.
- Assist in developing intentional performance review metrics for all student staff positions.
- Facilitate norming conversations around performance review metrics to ensure consistent implementation across Student Staff and Student Leader positions.
- Develop and implement position-specific hiring timelines for all Residence Life's Student Staff and Student Leader positions to ensure compliance with university policy.
- Develop and maintain ongoing accountability practices focused on learning and development for Student Staff and Student Leaders.
- Assist in the design and facilitation of training and development for all Professional Staff, Student Staff, and Student Leader positions.
- Ensure all federal, state, university, and departmental hiring processes and policies are followed.
- Ensure university training requirements for all Residence Life staff are met.
- Assist in overseeing departmental staff recognition initiatives.
- Be responsible for the student staff employment opportunities website page and ensure all information is accurate and up to date.
- Advise on payroll policies and procedures to ensure compliance with university policy.
- Coordinate Student Staff and Student Leader hourly pay increases, late payments, and update student employment status as required.
- Coordinate onboarding instructions and support for new student staff hires around payroll information, hiring packets, work-study, supervisory change forms, and separating student staff leaving their position.
- Develop and implement training for Professional Staff, Student Staff, and Student Leaders on the interview process, norming procedure for application reviewing, hiring standards, and bias reduction strategies
- Be responsible for Student Staff and Student Leader position offers with a focus on ensuring all eligibility requirements are met, including GPA and Conduct requirements.
- Utilize CU-SIS software from MyCUInfo to verify that student staff meet all enrollment, GPA, and conduct requirements throughout employment.
- Work with Student Staff and Student Leaders to determine eligibility for Work Study and assist in navigating that process.
Operations and Administration
- Serve as the departmental administrator and main point of contact for the current hiring software for Residence Life.
- Ensure all Student Staff and Student Leaders are set up in StarRez, ERezLife, CCure, Salto, WhentoWork, and other software as needed.
- Manage users and permissions within relevant software, handling accounts and permissions as necessary.
- Assist other users in troubleshooting issues related to the software this role is involved in.
- Maintain correspondence with potential candidates and campus partners relating to all matters relating to hiring processes.
- Develop and deliver information sessions and outreach mechanisms for varying audiences around campus.
- Curate, review, and maintain accurate and current standard operating procedures.
- Administrate all fiscal processes with maximum integrity and timeliness.
- Follow all federal, state, university, and departmental budget procedures.
- Additional duties as required to support departmental needs.
Leadership and Strategic Planning
- Provide exceptional leadership for all strategic planning, implementation, assessment, assigned initiatives, and all committee work in Residence Life and the Division of Student Affairs.
- Participate in vision creation, resource allocation, and strategic implementation as it relates to the Residence Life strategic planning process.
- Act as representative of Residence Life and Student Affairs on campus.
- Chair and participate in departmental committees and represent the department to the University and Boulder community as assigned.
- Review and monitor residence life's student employment payroll budget with a focus on ensuring staff stay within approved hours.
External Relations
- Provide excellent support and leadership to all external collaborators through service-minded attention to the broader housing organization, Student Affairs, and University missions.
- Assist in campus retention and enrollment management efforts, including participation in admissions visit events and summer orientation experiences.
- Develop and maintain relationships with relevant campus partners to assist in the development and implementation of departmental trainings.
- Collaborate with Human Resources to ensure all departmental background checks, compensation, I-9 paperwork, etc are completed for all staff.
- Assist in coordinating and facilitating hiring processes from recruitment to onboarding for all Conference Services Student Staff employment opportunities in collaboration with the Assistant Director of Residential Operations.
- Coordinate with Student Affairs HR and University HR to maintain accurate records of departmental employees.
- Collaborate with Student Affairs IT and the BuffOneCard Office to ensure that newly hired student staff receive Staff IDs, computer access, scheduling software access, and card access.
- Develop and implement a marketing plan in collaboration with relevant campus partners that will reach a broad spectrum of the CU Boulder diverse student body.
Emergency Response
- Uphold departmental and university crisis response policies and procedures.
- Serve as a Campus Security Authority, assisting in reporting incident information as needed.

This is a hybrid work opportunity. The regular work schedule is Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm, with some night and weekend requirements.

The annual salary range for this position is $52,000-$57,375. Onboarding assistance is available within Student Life division guidelines.
