This opportunity will enable you to enjoy a fast‑paced environment working on projects of all sizes and complexities!ResponsibilitiesResponsible to plan and conduct independent work requiring judgment in the evaluation, selection, application and adaptation of engineering techniques, procedures and criteriaPrepare and modify drawings, specifications, calculations, charts and graphs, and monitor work for compliance to applicable codes, accepted engineering practices and EAD standardsDetail portions of projects using schematic or conceptual layoutsResponsible for quality and delivery of construction documentation specifications, equipment layouts, HVAC design, plumbing design, and piping designSpecify process equipment including pressure vessels, atmospheric tanks, pumps and heat exchangersSpecify material handling equipment including conveyors, pneumatic conveying systems and dust collectionMay assume the lead engineer's role on assigned projectsPerform field activities such as observe and record existing field conditions, take and verify measurements within project areaEnsure that on‑site construction work is carried out according to local regulations and requirementsProvide conceptual drawings and sketches to incorporate in final drawings by Designers/DraftersResearch design options and document findings for project lead engineerHandle routine contract administrationDevelop proposals for engineering projects and construction estimatesCapable and experienced in managing and performing projects in a fast paced environmentTime manage and prioritize tasks to achieve results within cost and schedule constraintsInterface with Clients, vendors, construction administrators and project teamPerform and document technical design reviews with other disciplines on the project team to produce the highest level of qualityResponsible for adhering to all EAD's safety standards and practicesPerform other duties as assignedRequirementsB.S. Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution6 years mechanical design, engineering process plants, and overall facility design experienceLicensed Professional Engineer or willing to obtain within 6 monthsKnowledge of building codes and NFPA standards6 years of experience in specifying mechanical equipment for industrial and commercial projects6 years HVAC, heat transfer, utility/piping and/or plumbing systems experience strongly preferredProficient with Excel spreadsheets including macrosExperience in working with Bioprocess and/or Petrochemical Clients, construction of large industrial plants, or power stations will be advantageousPossess organizational skillsAble to set priorities and organize work to meet project deadlines and budgetsExcellent verbal and written communication skills with clients, vendors and in‑house staffSelf‑starter with strong attention to detailWorking Knowledge of AutoCADPossess and able to maintain a valid driver's licenseProficient in Microsoft OfficeWorking ConditionsOffice, plant, or client site environmentAbility to sit and work at computer for an extended period of timeAbility to walk up numerous flights of stairs/ladders multiple times a day and/or work in tight spaces in extreme conditionsMay work near moving mechanical parts and equipmentOffice, Commercial and/or Industrial setting with the potential of exposure to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicalsAbility to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.Periodic weekend, holiday or evening work as neededTravel and/or field experience requiredEAD is an Equal Opportunity Employer - Minorities/Females/Disabled/Veterans.Benefits include medical insurance, vision insurance, 401(k) and disability insurance.#J-18808-Ljbffr
