Staff Metallurgist
Minimum 5 Years experience in Metallurgist
Venteon is currently seeking an experienced Metallurgist to fill a opening with a manufacturing company located in Metro Detroit. The ideal candidates should have a background in Metallurgy and related lab tests and procedures.
Requirements of the Staff Metallurgist
Associate's degree in Material Science, Metallurgy, or a related field, or 5+ years of relevant experience.
At least 5 years of experience in steel processing, annealing, and heat treatment processes.
Familiarity with automotive OEM supplier standards (IATF16949, AIAG, VDA, etc.).
Versed with ISO9001 compliance / internal audits

Responsibilities of the Staff Metallurgist
Lead the implementation of Root Cause, Corrective, and Preventative Actions (CAPA)
Develop, update, and implement Standard Operating Procedures
Manage external laboratory testing processes.
Calibrate and maintain equipment (both lab and micrometers), ensuring all calibration records are up to date
Plan and coordinate testing to ensure products and processes adhere to customer and industry standards
Evaluate proposed changes in design, process and materials to current specifications
