Position Overview
A Magnet-designated, nonprofit teaching hospital and Level II Trauma Center is seeking an experienced Neuroscience Unit RN to join its specialized neuroscience team.
The 36-bed telemetry unit cares for both neurology and neurosurgery patients, including those with stroke, traumatic brain injury (TBI), seizures, epilepsy, and other complex neurological conditions.
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care
- Provide direct nursing care to neuroscience and neurosurgical patients
- Monitor patients requiring telemetry and specialized neurological care
- Recognize and respond to changes in patient condition
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams
- Delegate and supervise appropriate patient care activities
Requirements
- Med/Surg RN experience required
- Active Maryland RN license or eligibility
- BSN required
- BLS certification
- Strong clinical assessment and communication skills
