Staff Nurse- ED Holding

JOB SUMMARY

The role encompasses the management of patient care through implementation of the nursing process, supervision of licensed and unlicensed personnel, and coordination of interdisciplinary care.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

See Licenses and Certifications.

Experience:

One year of recent Acute Care nursing experience preferred.  

Knowledge and Skills:

Able to communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing. Able to work and multi-task in a fast-paced environment, effectively managing, prioritizing, delegating patient care, and completing work assignments as well as other duties as assigned. 

License and Certifications:

• Current, unrestricted California Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS and ACLS required.
• Current NIH Stroke Scale Certification
• Basic Arrhythmia, Basic 12-lead EKG are required within 6 months of hire.
• Workplace Violence AB508/SB1299 Training within 4-months of hire / transfer into the Emergency Department (Once certified, the employee must re-certify the following year, and then bi-annually).

Equipment:

Computer, Monitoring Equipment, Smart IV Pump, Rapid Infuser, Blood Warmer.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to perform the essential physical requirements of the job.

PAY RANGE

$47.90 - $71.84

The posted pay range reflects the lowest to highest pay that was available for this position at the time of posting and may be subject to change.  Salary offers are determined by candidate’s relevant experience and skills.  For per diem positions, a standard rate is used based on market data and not the candidate’s individual experience.
