Job Responsibilities

• Accurately dispense and verify prescription medications in accordance with physician orders and pharmacy regulations
• Review medication orders for accuracy, appropriateness, and potential drug interactions
• Provide clinical consultation and medication guidance to physicians, nurses, and healthcare staff
• Ensure safe medication practices by following established pharmacy protocols and regulatory standards
• Monitor patient medication therapies and recommend adjustments when appropriate
• Counsel patients on medication usage, potential side effects, and proper storage when applicable
• Maintain accurate pharmacy records and documentation for medication dispensing and inventory
• Oversee pharmacy technicians and support staff to ensure efficient workflow
• Participate in medication safety initiatives, quality improvement programs, and regulatory compliance activities
• Assist with pharmacy inventory management, medication ordering, and controlled substance monitoring

Education Requirements

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited school or college of pharmacy

Certification and Licensure Requirements

• Active Pharmacist license or eligibility for licensure in the state of Nebraska
• Successful completion of the North American Pharmacist Licensure Examination (NAPLEX)
• Basic Life Support certification 

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working as a pharmacist in a hospital, clinical, or retail pharmacy setting
• Strong knowledge of pharmacology, medication safety, and pharmaceutical regulations
• Experience collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
• Strong communication skills and patient-centered approach to care
